  <description>The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) is the world's leading dance examinations board. Formed in 1904 it is today a registered educational charity and is the only organisation that covers the full spectrum of dance examinations on a truly global scale. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The ISTD's chief objective is &quot;to educate the public in the art of dancing in all its forms&quot;. To achieve this, the ISTD works in four main ways: &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&#8226; To promote knowledge of dance &lt;br /&gt;
&#8226; To maintain and improve teaching standards &lt;br /&gt;
&#8226; To qualify, by examination, teachers of dancing in the ISTD's specialist techniques taught by our 10,000 members in schools of dancing throughout the world &lt;br /&gt;
&#8226; To provide, through its syllabi, techniques upon which to train dancers for the profession. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The organisation has recently recruited a new Chief Executive who has come on board with exciting plans to develop ISTD&#8217;s UK and international potential. To support this, a decision has been taken is to recruit a Head of Marketing &amp;amp; Membership Support Services to help drive through a period of expansion and increase their international business. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Key objectives for the role include: &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&#8226; Create and deliver effective marketing campaigns to raise the ISTD&#8217;s profile and expand its business &lt;br /&gt;
&#8226; Champion the value of marketing and advise colleagues across ISTD on marketing activities &lt;br /&gt;
&#8226; Expand membership of the ISTD &lt;br /&gt;
&#8226; Develop innovative campaigns to retain existing members and attract new ones &lt;br /&gt;
&#8226; Manage members&#8217; subscriptions via a highly efficient administration team &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
This role is part of the senior management team and key essential requirements will include: &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&#8226; Previous strategic marketing experience, ideally from within the Arts/ membership sector. &lt;br /&gt;
&#8226; A strong track record in growing new and developing existing revenue streams. &lt;br /&gt;
&#8226; Experience and in depth knowledge of working with new media especially Web 2.0 and social networking technologies. &lt;br /&gt;
&#8226; A strong entrepreneurial spirit to drive through innovation and business growth through new marketing ideas. &lt;br /&gt;
&#8226; An ability to use initiative and to provide strong leadership to a dynamic team. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
