Head of Acute and Specialist Commissioning

Luton teaching Primary Care Trust (tPCT) is looking to appoint a Head of Acute and Specialist Commissioning as part of the Commissioning Directorate drive to achieve World Class Commissioning status. The successful candidate will lead in managing a wide range of acute and specialist contracts. They will work closely with partners to develop and manage comprehensive range of contracts that reflect the needs of the local population, and that make a real difference to health outcomes.

We are looking for someone who is experienced at leading on the management of acute and specialist commissioning and used to working at a strategic level to deliver health-economy wide changes. You will have: excellent contract management skills; experience at overseeing the development and management of acute contracts, excellent communication skills; the ability to analyse and use data to drive changes in a systematic and logical way; and experience of working with partners both internal and external to the health service.
