Head of Acute and Specialist Commissioning

Luton teaching Primary Care Trust (tPCT) is looking to appoint a Head of Acute and Specialist Commissioning as part of the Commissioning Directorate drive to achieve World Class Commissioning status.  The successful candidate will lead in managing a wide range of acute and specialist contracts.  They will work closely with partners to develop and manage comprehensive range of contracts that reflect the needs of the local population, and that make a real difference to health outcomes.   

We are seeking a commercially minded individual who can demonstrate a track record of working at a strategic level within a complex environment.  You will have: excellent contract and performance management skills; experience at overseeing the development and management of contracting, excellent communication skills; the ability to analyse and use data to drive changes in a systematic and logical way; and experience of working with partners both internal and external.  Prior experience of Health or the broader Public Sector would be advantageous.
