<p>A PCT in the South East is currently in need of an Interim Mental Health Commissioner with knowledge of Mental health contracts and experience of commissioning Mental Health services.</p>
<p>Key duties include:</p>
<p>To manage and direct strategic development, commissioning and contractual management of mental health services.</p>
<ol>
<li>To support the sector wide specialist MH consortia which include forensic, CAMHS, Eating Disorders. To support meetings, develop workplan, and project manage work of consortium.</li>
<li>To develop and maintain relationships with partner PCTs and other partner organisations. Managing the complexities of potentially divergent protocols and organisational priorities.</li>
<li>To provide advice on the purchase of mental health services from the independent and statutory sectors to ensure that PCTs receive value for money and that appropriate services/placements are commissioned.</li>
</ol>
<p>Candidates must have previous experience of commissioning Mental health services and be available at short notice for a 3 month assignment.</p>
