A PCT in the South east are currently recruiting an Interim Commissioning Officer to provide expert support to the commissioning Managers on contract monitoring, developing service specifications and Information management
Key duties include:
To contribute to the development of commissioning strategies.
To undertake co-ordination, management and facilitation of commissioning processes.
To develop and foster relationships and to work in partnership with statutory organisations, voluntary sector and other providers to identify, plan and monitor service developments.
To maximise the participation of users and carers in commissioning, in particular ensuring that systems are in place to encourage and enable service users, carers, families and advocates to participate in the commissioning process.
To ensure the PCT’s compliance with statutory duties and requirements.
To comply with the PCT’s Standing Orders and Financial Regulations.
To be responsible for contracting and monitoring of PCT’s commissioned services including making recommendations for future funding
To support and advise Commissioning Managers in identifying the provider landscape and identifying market gaps and opportunities
Candidates must have commissioning experience from either Local Government or NHS in a similar role and be available for a 3 month contract.
