Our client is an established NHS organisation who, with a recently increased budget, is placing financial performance and the improvement of patient care at its forefront.
As Head of Financial Performance you will report directly to the Associate Director of Finance and be responsible for a team of five, consisting of financial performance managers and analysts.
The post holder will have extensive knowledge and experience of the NHS Finance regime and experience of operating at a senior level within the NHS.
Key responsibilities include;
- Coordinate an effective process and system for the monitoring and management of financial performance across a large area database
- Lead on the financial performance management, involving the assessment and mitigation of financial risk
- Being responsible for the delivery of any financial challenges and for CIP and Demand management.
- Contribute to the development of 3-5 year strategic financial plans
- Provide leadership, guidance and advice to board members relating to highly complex finance issues relating to Operational financial planning, CIP and DM schemes and associated financial.
The candidate will be articulate and have the gravitas to operate at Director level.
He/she will also have evidence of excellent strategic and forward thinking.
