INTERIM FINANCIAL ANALYST

Advertised is a financial analyst role within an NHS consultancy organisation.  Working closely with front line services, your role within this organisation will contribute to the development and implementation of healthcare services across London.

As interim financial analyst you will report directly to the Head of Project Finance and work with managers and clinicians on a variety of projects.

Candidates need to have strong financial analysis skills as well as financial modelling skills.  You will need to have a strong background within a commissioning finance environment, favourably within PCT's or sector commissioning groups.

Key responsibilities include;

• Identify current costs of delivery for existing services
• Determine financial implications of newly proposed services for both commissioner and provider
• Develop financial models that enable the creation and analysis of proposed services, suitable for use by all sector commissioning units to develop their strategic and operational plans
• Report on the implications of this modeling 

The candidate will demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of the NHS financial regime and data sources, such as HES and SUS.  They will also exhibit the ability to communicate and discuss financial issues with non-financial colleagues and to challenge current thinking.
