As Divisional Finance Manager you will be an active member of the Divisional Board, participating fully and providing expert strategic financial support and advice to all Directors.
The post holder will ideally have experience of working within an NHS organisation, and experience of strategic and business planning and investment appraisal processes.
Key responsibilities include;
Liaison with budget holders and relevant Directors and Managers on a daily basis.
- Managing a team of finance staff, providing monthly budget statements and financial advice to budget holders.
- Preparing consolidated monthly financial performance reports and forecasts analysing trends and variances.
- Responsible for business planning and setting annual Divisional budget and ensure rigorous financial control is implemented across the Division.
- Lead on the development of highly complex financial plans and strategies to support the strategic objectives of the organisation.
- Ensure SLR is developed, implemented and reported for monitoring purposes
The candidate will have the ability to take a lead and make judgements, possessing good negotiation skills and developing strong relationships with Board level directors.
He/she will confidently present information to all levels of staff and communicate effectively with non-financial professionals also.
