My NHS client is currently recruiting a Procurement Consultant with the focus on Productivity and Performance for 3-6 months starting immediately.

 

The ideal candidate will lead the Productivity and Performance work-stream, which looks at process improvement and waste reduction. This is not a purely project management position, but a change agent role for a candidate who will hit the ground running, with minimum of support from the Managing Director. 

 

The candidate will have experience of both supply chain and lean, being conversant with practical application, not just theoretical models, will be a good communicator and require stakeholder management skills You will also have significant experience with process mapping and be familiar with algorithms around stock control.

 

You will also:

  • drive re-design and change programmes to deliver transformational change, to maximise cash releasing savings and benefits, establishing links, interfaces and integration with current processes and systems.
  • manage a portfolio of productivity and performance projects by leading multiskilled cross functional teams to achieve agreed client objectives
  • Be responsible for the effective management of the productivity and performance service affecting multi-million pound service delivery and making savings to meet current customer service levels agreements
  • formulate best practice solutions in accordance with stakeholder needs in line with national initiatives such as Quality, Innovation, Productivity and Prevention (QIPP)

 

Public Sector experience in a similar role is essential, with NHS highly desirable.
