The Probation Association is the employers' organisation, working with and on behalf of probation trusts. We are a collective national voice that undertakes bargaining with the recognised trade unions on terms and conditions of employment for the 22,000 members of staff in the probation service. We support trusts to provide best practice in HR, we shape and influence national opinion, policy and practice and we promote the work of probation services.
The opportunity
- Act as the principal adviser to the Probation Association as part of the Employers’ Side of the National Negotiating Council and the Standing Committee for Chief Officer Grades.
- Develop and support HR services to probation trusts in England and Wales.
- Represent trusts to the Ministry of Justice, working on their behalf to influence national policy development.
- Be a key member of the management team, contributing to corporate management and strategic development.
