£60,000 plus pension - based Dartington, Devon
research in practice is the largest children and families research implementation project in England and Wales. Established in 1996 as a department of The Dartington Hall Trust, it runs in collaboration with the Association of Directors of Children's Services, the University of Sheffield and our network of over 100 participating agencies in the UK.
Our commitment is to continuing the transformation of the landscape and knowledge base of children and family services through the use of research evidence.
We make a distinctive contribution through identifying effective methods of understanding and using research, and providing services to a collaborative network of ambitious agencies working with some of the most vulnerable people in society.
Following the promotion of the current Director to a new role at Dartington, we are seeking to appoint an exceptional individual to lead research in practice through the next stage of its development.
You will need to have a strong understanding of modern children's services, their delivery and knowledge context, and be passionately committed to improving services and outcomes through the thoughtful use of research. As well as having the talent to manage our programme and deliver a first class service to our Partner agencies, you will also champion our work at the highest levels externally and show leadership on important emerging issues in the sector.
In return, we offer the opportunity to work in a creative and entrepreneurial environment in an outstanding location, together with the reward of knowing that your success and influence will have a direct impact on the lives of children and families.
