Useful Links

Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust provides health and social care services for people of all ages with mental ill-health, drug and alcohol addictions and learning disabilities across Surrey and North East Hampshire. The Trust also provides some specific services across its borders, particularly in Croydon and Hampshire. As one of the largest mental health and learning disability Trusts in the country we employee over 3,600 people who work across 127 sites serving 1.3 million people.

Surrey and Borders was established as a health and social care Partnership Trust in April 2005 and provides integrated care with Surrey and Hampshire County Councils. We seek to involve and engage people who use our services, their families and carers in everything we do and our Vision and Values represent our shared ambitions for the success of the Trust.

It is our aspiration to ensure that people living within our catchment area enjoy consistently good mental health and well being. We are a high-capability and high-quality organisation that has evolved in partnership with local communities and we aim to ensure that anyone living our catchment has the finest assessment, treatment and care.

We seek to involve and engage people who use our services and our community and we have more than 5,000 public members as well as our 3,600 staff who together elect our Council of Governors. Our core purpose reflects our role as both a provider of services and a leader in promoting good health and social inclusion: "To deliver excellent and responsive assessment, treatment and care, focused on the needs and contributions of the individual; and to lead our communities in challenging stigma and developing their role in improving the mental health and well-being of people living within our communities".

In addition to serving Surrey and North East Hampshire we provide specific services across our borders, namely:

  • Learning disability social care services in both Croydon and Hampshire
  • Minor provision of specialist mental health services in Croydon
  • Drug and alcohol services in Hampshire

The Trust aims to match current best practice regarding:

Our Partners

The Trust is a partnership organisation and has a formal partnership agreement with Surrey County Council to ensure integrated health and social care is provided to respond to the needs of the whole person. We work closely with primary care being organised, wherever practical, in line with Primary Care boundaries. We also have close links with voluntary sector organisations who support people who use services and carers.
