The South West Specialised Commissioning Group is hosted by NHS Bristol. We have bases in Bristol and Exeter and will soon be establishing a base in Salisbury.

Louise Tranmer - Director of Specialised Commissioning
Louise began her career working within mental health, qualifying as a Registered Mental Health Nurse in 1985 and then spent several years working as a Community Psychiatric Nurse in Bristol. From mental health she then took up an opportunity to work in acute health care at United Bristol Healthcare NHS Trust where she led the development of relationships with primary care and negotiated contracts with commissioners as well as managing operational services. She completed a BSc from the Open University in Health, Management and Technology in 1999 and an MSc in Health Economics and Health Policy at the University of Birmingham in 2001. After maternity leave, Louise moved into commissioning and was Director of Commissioning at South Bristol PCT and Director of Strategy and Commissioning at Islington PCT/Council, before moving back to the South West to take up the Director role with the Specialised Commissioning Group.
