The appointment of Tamara Rojo as Artistic Director has brought creativity and dynamism to ENB. Tamara’s determination to present a new model for how a classical ballet company should operate is inspiring the Company to question everything it does and to consider new ways of working. An integral aspect of the artistic vision is to increase the output of the Company. Utilising resources fully will be a vital aspect of the way in which ENB demonstrates that it provides exceptional value for money. In addition, a busy Company is a better and thriving environment for dancers and creative teams who are better able to realise their ambitions, be stretched and enjoy being part of a broader and more diverse range of programmes.

Our touring commitment will remain as both a driving force and the rationale for the existence of the Company. Presenting our work to audiences across the UK and internationally will continue to represent the biggest opportunity for ENB to deliver against its vision to extend audience reach and impact. We will deepen our relationships with audiences and communities both physically and virtually. Our ‘live’ work will be complimented by a range of programmes, projects and initiatives designed to enhance the live ballet experience for regular audiences; introduce our work to new audiences; provide opportunities for young people, socially disadvantaged or excluded members of our community.

ENB has undergone a period of transformation and will continue to do so as we work to determine and deliver our new 5 year Business Plan. The inspired and bold artistic vision and integrity that Tamara brings to the Company needs to be supported by a skilled and motivated workforce. The development of an organisational change strategy is an essential aspect to ensuring that ENB equips itself to be able to realise the ambitions of its new Artistic Director. We are now seeking a seasoned practitioner to join our journey and undertake a challenging Director of HR & OD role. Your role will complement the Executive team and will continue to build an environment where employees are engaged and able to deliver to the very best of their ability.

We are seeking a professional colleague who is flexible, adaptable and proactive. You will possess a commercial approach with excellent political, interpersonal and relationship management skills and the desire to make things happen. You will want to engage at all levels with an organisation which includes staff in extremely varied roles, from Chief Operating Officer to trombone player to shoe supervisor to physiotherapist to Technical Director. Above all, we are seeking a colleague who will really enjoy collaborating with us in this exciting, diverse and challenging environment!
