A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the public sector procurement team based in Sussex. Reporting into the Head of Category, the role of Category Manager will be to manage sub categories across the Adults, Children’s and Public Health category, ensuring that performance is optimised and quality, best practice and value for money is delivered through procurement exercises.
This role is part of the Adults. Children’s and public health category and is responsible for the deliver of category strategies, stakeholder engagement, analysing spend data, leading and managing full tender and procurement exercises and delivering strategies that result in best value and savings for the organisation.
This role is a permanent position and requires someone who has a strong background in public sector procurement as well as experience working in a category management role before. Knowledge of Adults, Children’s and Social Care would be an advantage however public sector procurement experience is essential.
The role requires 1 to 2 days a week in the office and the rest can be delivered from home. The salary on offer is circa £59,000.
