An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Category Manager to join a large London based public sector organisation. Reporting into the Head of Procurement, your role will be to be the procurement lead across the people and corporate category and to deliver significant procurement whilst ensuring all professional and legislative requirements are met.

This role requires someone with a strong background in public sector procurement as well as experience across social care, people, adults and corporate categories. Day to day you will take the lead on developing category strategies as well as overseeing contracts, processes and performance criteria. You will manage end to end procurement projects, ensuring regulations are met as well as develop and implement innovative category plans that deliver value for money and consider social value.

This is an initial 6 month contract paying £63,000 (pro rata for 6 months) and requires 2 days a week in the London office.
