Category Specialist
My Local Government client is going through a period of change and due to this is looking for a Category Specialist to join the team on a permanent basis. working across the corporate category and reporting into the Category Manager, your role will be to provide support to the development of the category plans whilst also leading on procurement exercises and adding procurement expertise to all stages of the procurement lifecycle.
Day to day you will take responsibility for ensuring procurement exercises comply with procurement strategy and public procurement regulations, as well as providing procurement support to internal stakeholders. You will also be responsible for developing category action plans and tender and quotation documentation.
Ideally you will have experience gained within a category focused role previously and be able to show a background in delivering procurement projects across corporate categories. Public sector procurement experience is essential for the role, as is the ability to managed suppliers and stakeholders.
The role is being offered on a permanent basis and with a salary range of £39,000 to £50,000. The working pattern is hybrid with some travel each week to London required.
