Deputy Director of People and Culture

The HR & OD team have been through much change over recent years, with the pandemic accelerating progress in some areas and delaying it in others. We are mid-way through our 5-year strategy to modernise our services and this is an exciting time to take stock of all that’s been achieved and lead the next phase of transformation.

We are now looking for a new Deputy Director of People and Culture, to bring coherent leadership across our People and Organisational Effectiveness Directorate and be the most senior HR lead for the organisation. Acting as a trusted advisor in people matters up to Board and Executive level, you will have an impressive HR background combined with strong communication and influencing skills. As well as having the strategic vision to enable our culture to become more empowering and risk averse, you will also have a keen eye for detail, a passion for getting the basics right and be able to shift between operational and strategic leadership. We also need a strong team leader, who is able to role model excellent people management, with an ability to coach and develop others to be their best.

You will be a values led leader, with a true affinity to our values – fair, kind, collaborative and ambitious. You will also champion fairness, diversity, and inclusion, ensuring these are key considerations in the implementation of the people strategy.
