Employee Relations Policy & Project Manager
Are you an experienced Employee Relations Policy Manager looking for your next career challenge? If so I have a fantastic opportunity for you to join a leading London based University on a permanent basis.
In this newly created role you will work as part of the Employee Relations and Policy team and wider HR Department to support and enhance people management practices and the interpretation and implementation of relevant HR policies and procedures.
As Employee Relations Policy Manager your role will include:
- Leading the research, design, development and review of HR and ER policies
- Advising colleagues and managers on policy and contractual matters and the application of HR and ER policies and procedures
- Developing and delivering communications related to HR and ER policy, including training, briefings and guidance for managers
- Supporting with Trades Union consultations and negotiations on HR and ER policy and procedure matters
- Supporting with responses to ACAS correspondence and Employment Tribunal claims, including working with external legal advisors when required
- Leading on a variety of HR and ER Policy projects
To be considered you will require:
- Proven experience of developing, writing and reviewing HR/ER policy and procedures, gained in a unionised environment
- Demonstrable ability to handle complex and sensitive reviews of HR/ER policy
- An up to date knowledge of developments in UK employment legislation and case law
- Experience of supporting managers through change processes, including policy/procedure training and development for managers
- Experience of writing, advising and reviewing contracts of employment and terms and conditions of employment
- Knowledge of change programmes including restructures, reorganisations and TUPE
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build credible relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
