I am currently recruiting a Junior HR Consultant for a renowned University based in central London. This role is initially for 1 year on a fixed term contract at a salary of £38,359 to £47,109 per year depending upon experience, with 2 days working in the central London Office and the remainder remote.
Reporting to a Senior HR consultant, your role will involve:-
- Advising on sickness, absence, performance management and flexible working requests
- Advising on informal grievance and employee relations issues
- Using your experience to provide professional HR advice not just using policy but working to find a solution
- Support the Senior HR Consultant and HR Business Partners with employee relations and change management
The ideal candidate will be available at short notice (up to 1 month) and be:-
- Pro-active, willing to ask questions to resolve matters yourself / find a solution if you are unsure
- Able to work well as part of a team and on an individual basis
- Able to work with ambiguity and “think on your feet” as this is a large organisation and you may come across things that you have not come across before
- Experienced in working with / understanding how to work with Trades Unions
- CIPD qualified or working towards it
