Procurement Category Manager
My London based education client is looking to recruit a Procurement Category Manager into their team for a period of 18 months on a fixed term basis. Reporting into the Head of Procurement the role will focus on the delivery of a procurement category strategy which will be required to deliver benefits to the organisation whilst providing opportunities to deliver better cost savings and efficiency’s across the organisations non-pay spend.
Day to day you will be responsible for delivering and managing category plans, ensuring that they are on track and that benefit realisation is monitored, You will also be responsible for delivering tendering plans, supplier engagement and analysis, contract management and identifying high risk procurement activities.
The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate experience in leading and managing procurement and tendering exercises as well as experience in professional services categories. Knowledge of PCR 2015 and FTS is also a requirement for this role, as is the ability to manage stakeholders and suppliers and drive procurement activity forward.
This role is being offered on an 18 month fixed term basis and with a salary range of £48,000 to £57,000. Travel to the London office each week is required but this can be flexible.
