Programme Support Officer £35,000- £40,000

A Programme Support Officer is required to join a Not for Profit organisation who are embarking on a number of organisation wide programmes and require a candidate who has experience working in programme environment within the Public Sector or Not for Profit Sector previously. This is a great organisation to work for who are based in London and offer a hybrid working arrangement with 2 days per week in the office.

Role Overview:

The Programme Support Officer will support will play a crucial role in the day-to-day programme management of the organisation’s strategic programmes and standardising the organisation’s approach to project and programme management (PMO function).

Main purpose of the role is to:

  • Data analysis and programme reporting (to include preparing partner reports and tracking performance).
  • Organise and support working group and board meetings.
  • Capture actions and decisions from working group and board meetings.
  • Working with Project Managers to capture and manage risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Provide comprehensive support to the Head of Programmes.
  • Supporting the facilitation of workshops e.g. risk workshop.
  • Providing project management assurance (in a supportive and non-policing way to ensure Project Managers are completing the right documentation, to the right standard at the right time in the project cycle).
  • Supporting the development, consultation and roll out of improved project and programme management tools and ways of working processes.

Experience required:

  • A recognised project management qualification (PRINCE2/APM).
  • Experience of working in project management or programme management.
  • Experience providing administrative support.
  • Experience of a broad range of software packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint (essential) and project management tools such as Monday.com (desirable)
  • Strong analytical skills and presentation of data.
  • Experience of writing clear, concise, project status reports and accurately maintaining project documentation.
  • Ability to work on your own and take initiative.
