Senior Category Manager

An East Midlands based public sector client is looking to recruit a Senior Category Manager into their team. Reporting into the Deputy Head of Procurement and working as part of a busy procurement department, your role will be to lead on specific procurements and strategic sourcing programmes across a defined portfolio of categories.

As an experienced public sector procurement professional you will run complex OJEU procurements, manage multiple stakeholders and develop and implement category management strategies whilst delivering efficiencies and savings for the organisation.

You will be responsible for leading large and complex procurement activities whilst ensuring best practice is delivered and in line with PCR 2015 and OJEU regulations.

Ideally you will be working towards your CIPS qualification.

This is a permanent role paying £47,000 to £50,000 and requires 2 days a week in the office.
