Senior Finance Manager

University of Exeter is looking to recruit a permanent Senior Finance Manager.

Salary £46,000 – £54,000 plus excellent holidays and benefits

This role is within the Financial Planning and Reporting team of the Finance, Infrastructure and Commercial Services Division, providing financial information, analysis, insight and advice to customers. The team supports University senior leaders, managers, academics, and researchers to achieve the University’s strategic objectives.

Reporting in to a Head of Finance this role will serve a portfolio of stakeholders and projects providing management information and insight throughout the financial cycle, strategic financial planning and forecasting, scenario modelling, developing business cases and options appraisal, risk management, stewardship and contributing towards value generation.

Key responsibilities to include:

*To undertake financial and budget planning, forecasting and monitoring in support of a portfolio of key stakeholders and projects.

*To lead and develop a team of finance professionals, including setting objectives, monitoring performance, coaching, and providing guidance and advice to ensure quality outcomes.

In this role you will be dealing with a diverse range of people so excellent inter-personal skills and a flexible approach to work is needed

Prior of experience of working in a busy finance environment preparing, analysing and monitoring financial budgets and costings is also needed
