Corporate Social Responsibility
As part of our mission to provide high-quality, responsible recruitment solutions to the public and not-for-profit sectors, we’re firmly committed to Corporate Social Responsibility.
Over the years our staff have supported charities and organisations which improve lives, strengthen communities and create opportunities for people to flourish. We do this through fundraising activities, volunteering and by holding Trustee and Non-Executive positions within charities.
This year we’ve partnered with four vital organisations:
65 Degrees North
Morgan Law are delighted to have once again been able to make a financial contribution to support the Charity 65 Degrees North. 65 Degrees North seeks to help in the rehabilitation of wounded, injured or sick (WIS) current or ex-servicemen and women by offering the opportunity to participate in challenging adventure. Our donation will specifically help the charity;
- Support an attempt on the record for cycling on a hand-bike from John O'Groats to Lands End by Michael, an ex-Rifles soldier who lost both legs above the knee in Afghanistan.
- Fund a six day cycling event in the high Pyrenees in September for a Team of twenty. This will also involve a two day training period on the Gower Peninsular at the end of June, during which we will also work with local Police supported Youth Teams because we want our Teams to contribute to the Community.
- Fund a six day rock climbing training period in Cornwall in September for those we will then take to Indonesia next year in an attempt to climb the Carstensz Pyramid, the highest mountain on Oceania. It requires specialist rock-climbing skills.
These events will involve some 30 of those we seek to help and support from amongst the Veteran community.
Co-Founder of Morgan Law, Simon Law said "We are once again delighted to be able to offer support to 65 Degrees North whose work is so valuable in assisting wounded Servicemen and Women achieve and succeed in such a positive manner."
Special Boat Service Association (SBSA)
The SBSA aims to maintain contact between serving and former members of the Special Boat Service and assist past and present members of the Special Boat Service, their families and dependants through provision of facilities, services and financial assistance.
Morgan Law staff have been helping outgoing service personnel from the Special Boat Service (SBS) make the transition into civilian life and new careers. We’ve run workshops on how to apply their leadership and other transferrable skills, apply for jobs, write CVs and prepare for interviews.
We’re committed to providing ongoing advice and support to SBS service personnel who are leaving the forces and trying to get careers in other areas.
The LumoHawk Foundation is a non-profit charity organisation which supports the educational and sporting needs of previously disadvantaged children and their communities in South Africa. Through its work, the Foundation aspires to give opportunity and hope to the leaders of tomorrow.
To date we’ve raised £4,000 to support LumoHawk’s crucial work supporting vulnerable children and disadvantaged families in impoverished communities.
