Dear Candidate

Thank you for your interest in our new People and Culture appointments at Plan International.

We are immensely proud of the successes we have achieved since the launch of our 100 Million Reasons global strategy in 2017. During this time, we have focused on strengthening Plan's capacity and capabilities so we can continue to build on our achievements and continue to shape and deliver our future ambitions.

Over the past few years, we have transformed many of our country and regional operations around the world. More recently, we have completed the transformation of our former international headquarters into our new Global Hub - to be stronger and fitter for the future.

In 2020, we evolved our former Human Resources and Organisation Development function into a new global People and Culture Team so we can focus on building a stronger Global People & Culture Strategy, aligned to our new global operating model. This has helped us advance our work further and become stronger partners, serving 11,000+ talented international employees in our Country Offices, Regional Hubs, National Organisation's and through our Global Hub teams.

Working for an international development and humanitarian organisation is as diverse, fascinating, challenging and inspiring as it can get for any seasoned HR professional. You'll be partnering with senior leaders, technical experts and through your regional and country office HR peers in many developing countries, each with different social, economic and cultural contexts. We're now looking for people like you, to join us on the next phase of our evolution.

Our work is obviously very challenging, dynamic and forever changing, in the many locations we work in around the world, to support girls, boys and their communities.

In our last Global Employee Engagement Survey (Oct 20), our employee engagement index score is 86% (2% YOY improvement) – even through our COVID-19 global emergency response. There is of course, always more to do, deliver and achieve. That said, the personal and professional satisfaction involved is absolutely priceless!

I hope you will be inspired by learning more about our work at Plan International through these new and important roles we are now recruiting for. I also wish you every success with your application and I look forward to welcoming you personally to join our new People & Culture Team, as we work together to change the world for girls, boys and young people.

As you will discover, there are at least 100 Million Reasons why you should join us at Plan International – and I sincerely hope you will be one of them.

Thank you and best wishes,

Bessie Vaneris, Executive Director, People and Culture, Plan International, Global Hub
