What an exciting time to think about joining this beautiful Channel Island States Government senior leadership team. With extensive change and transformation ongoing over the last 2 years (with the people agenda at the heart of this) this is an excellent time to drive forward a modern, engaged and highly skilled workforce to deliver the ambition of the Island.

With 6,700 employees the States is the largest employer on the Island and with a new people strategy, you will be part of a newly formed service where they have secured a large investment into workforce going forward and new cloud based technology.

As Associate Director of People Services for Health, you will be central in the development of a new model for care, a transformative programme that cuts across services delivered across general hospital, community services and primary care. As a small Island they have the ability to better integrate health and social care and focus more on community and preventative strategies.

As HR lead (Health) you will have a clear approach to ensuring that the employee experience is continually improved and that employees are heard and engaged. This is a cultural change rooted in the organisations values.

You will be pivotal in the people change agenda, particularly across the Health and Community Services new model of care and this is an excellent opportunity for a senior HR professional that wants to drive forward transformation in both a unique and challenging setting.

This role is the people management lead for the medical workforce ensuring statutory and regulatory compliance advising members of the Executive including the Director General, Medical Director, Chief Nurse and Chief Social Worker.

The successful candidate will be a driven leader who can demonstrate high level experience working as a senior people/HR management leader within an NHS/Health or medical workforce related environment.

You will have evidence of successful delivery in healthcare settings, alongside clinical leadership. This together with considerable experience of workforce modernisation and making things happen will make you an excellent candidate.

The client is happy to consider this role on a permanent or a long term fixed term contract basis. You will be taxed at Island rate (circa 20%) and be offered a very generous relation package plus 16% contribution to pension.
