This has been a year like no other in living memory. COVID-19 has turned the world on its head. Our goal of ending extreme poverty by tackling its root causes is more urgent than ever.

We are now seeking to appoint to the post of Chief Finance Officer. Reporting to our Chief Operating Officer, you will set the strategy and direction of the finance function globally.

Key responsibilities will include

  • Leading financial strategy, planning, financial stewardship and control, and enhancing organisation-wide business improvement.
  • Providing a wide range of strategic business support, financial analysis and information to the Board and its sub-committees, the executive team and wider management.
  • Managing and developing the Finance Division and its staff, driving forwards improvements to our systems and practices to deliver a first-class financial service to stakeholders
  • Acting as a key member of Christian Aid’s senior leadership team to participate in the development of Christian Aid’s vision, mission and strategic direction

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with a track record of achievement at a senior level in a complex, international, organisation.
