Trustee Committee Members
Marine Society & Sea Cadets (MSSC) is the leading maritime charity for youth development and lifelong learning, helping 1000s of people learn and improve themselves. Through the Sea Cadets, we help to launch resilient teenagers who can cope with the world as it is today, and through the Marine Society we support people who work at sea to take advantage of professional opportunities.
Our work has a transformational impact on both individuals and the communities in which they live and work, positively affecting their life chances and benefiting their communities and society as a whole. Sea Cadets impacts more than 14,500 young people across the UK each week.
The MSSC is now seeking looking to appoint 2 or 3 Trustee Committee Members who in time could become full Trustees of MSSC.
As a Trustee Committee Member, you would sit on one or more of our Committees and provide critical input to the work of the trustees and the charity. All committee members are expected to commit to:
- Taking part in four committee meetings a year
- Contributing to the work of the committee
- Engaging and supporting specific projects involving your areas of particular expertise
- Attending one or two MSSC public events including the AGM
We would really value applications from individuals who can bring either charity fundraising or property experience but others with an interest or passion in our work are also welcome.
For a recruitment pack with further information, please contact James Stephens at Morgan Law by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone 0207 747 4931. Application is by CV and Covering Letter.
The Closing Date will be 11pm on Wednesday 28th July
