Morgan Law are proud to be working with The Children's Society to recruit their new Head of Technology. This role manages two teams, IT Service and IT projects, managing a significant MSP contact.The Children's Society has been helping children and young people in this country for over 130 years.

Your role will be to help lead the Technology capability within The Children's Society and within the Technology and Data function, delivering technology strategy, services and change across the organisation.

The Head of Technology is a key role that sits within the Technology and Data department. In recent years, the team have lead a transformation of the technology used at the Children's Society, with all staff issued with new mobile equipment, and systems and services migrated to the Microsoft Office 365 and Azure platforms.

The Children's Society has recently agreed a new Destination 2030 Strategy, and there is a key requirement to design and deliver a TCS wide technology roadmap to enable and support this.

Your key responsibilities will include,

Lead the definition planning, mobilisation, implementation and delivery of technology strategy, the technology roadmap and strategic technology projects
Lead the specification, Procurement and management of the outsourced IT supplier plus portfolio of other suppliers. Ensure contracts are aligned with organisational
Be the technical design authority for the technology capability.
Maintain and evolve the IT architecture in collaboration with specialist teams and suppliers
Deliver fit for purpose and continuously improving IT service models that align with the organisation's requirements and ways of working, and deliver to SLAs.
Lead the technology team in their delivery of technology services and strategic projects, working closely with senior leaders and SMEs to align delivery with TCS' strategic requirement
Essential Requirements:

Proven Technology leadership skills and Senior stakeholder management experience

Technical authority and architecture knowledge

Significant Procurement and Supplier management skills with high value contracts

Technology strategy and roadmap planning

Strategic project and Change Management skills

IT Service management in line with TCS & Financial planning and management

Since the onset of Covid19, the Children's Society has operated largely within a remote/hybrid working environment and the successful candidate will need a track record of working within a similar setup.
