A leading international development organization is currently seeking a committed and enthusiastic Head of Finance to lead its dynamic finance team.

Permanent position, paying £44,100.
International Humanitarian Charity.

This strategically important, challenging position shall see the successfully candidate working in a fast-paced and fluid working environment, enjoying a high level of autonomy and the ability to drive operational and strategic activities.

This exciting opportunity will see the successful candidate responsible for all aspects of day to day management of the organisation’s UK finance team, playing the lead role in ensuring the organization meetings its financial and operational targets and objectives, leading a number of large ongoing projects and driving through process optimization and an agenda for change.

Reporting Directly to the Finance Director, this exciting opportunity will see the successful individual working intimately with senior stakeholders across the business, leading budgeting and planning programmes, raising the profile of finance and educating the broader business on finance and strategy.  In addition, this position will be a significant interface with the international business, working to achieve global targets and objectives and playing a major role in process and systems optimization projects.

The successful candidate will also work closely with the organisation’s fundraising operation to improve financial assessment of potential agreements or contracts with governments or major donors.

This outstanding opportunity requires a qualified Accountant with very strong communications and stakeholder management experience.  Experience of working within the charity sector may be beneficial but is not a pre-requisite.
