Head of Performance required for a performance and Intelligence Team in the delivery of critical strategic planning, business intelligence, performance management and monitoring processes necessary for the Departments and the Council to make timely, relevant and strategic decisions for existing and future services and fully support national and local reporting requirements across the Directorates and partners. As the Head of Performance & Intelligence you will be tasked with being the organisational lead on performance and business intelligence issues providing advice and support to senior officers and members to ensure that the organisation understands the issues it faces and performance manages its responses effectively. Analyse, interpret and present a range of information and data to formulate corporate policy advice, inform and advise the management team and provide strategic direction within area of responsibility. Lead and develop a team to ensure a high-quality offer to services that is grounded in a good understanding of the challenges they face. Champion and drive improvements in data quality, performance management and strategic analysis across the council. Provide support to facilitate staff across departments to drive the corporate values of improving life for residents, along with the other values of trustworthiness, innovation, collaboration and accountability, in everything we do. To operate as one council into the organisation, by ensuring that all activities related to strategy and performance reflect these corporate values. To develop effective partnerships between statutory, voluntary and independent agencies, to contribute to integrated performance improvement, information sharing and effective complaints resolution. Support the services in performance and intelligence requirements connected with formal inspections by a range of accountable bodies. Provide expert knowledge of performance improvement to input to service improvement strategies and action plans for services to adopt in response to inspection improvement plans, innovation and policy change. Previous experience as a Head of Performance for a local authority or a central government department would be highly desirable.
