Circa £65,000

Historic Royal Palaces (HRP) is the independent charity that looks after the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, the Banqueting House Whitehall, Kensington Palace, Kew Palace and Hillsborough Castle. HRP is a charity and a commercial business, raising all its own funds and depending on the support of visitors, members, donors, sponsors and volunteers. We have an extensive record of achievement in recent years, and ambitious plans for the future at all of our sites.

With a 1000-year-old history – as a fortress, castle, prison and zoo – and attracting nearly three million visitors each year, the Tower of London is the crown jewel of HRP. We are now seeking to appoint a new HR Manager to work closely with our newly appointed Tower Director and our 200 established Tower staff, and our Retail and Catering Director and teams operating across our sites.

HRP is at an exciting stage; we have a new purpose and are working to our new strategy so this is an excellent opportunity help shape HRP’s next steps through the delivery of an exceptional operational HR service and a variety of organisation wide projects.

Our successful candidate will be a confident and highly credible People professional with a strong background as an operational HR generalist, coupled with a demonstrable ability to think strategically and holistically to deliver pragmatic and impactful people solutions. Highly skilled as a relationship builder and with exceptional communication skills, you’ll be able to adapt your approach effortlessly to meet the needs of the diverse range of stakeholders operating across HRP.

Whilst an interest in, or experience of working within the heritage conservation sector would be distinctly desirable, HRP are keen to consider candidates from a wide variety of sector backgrounds who can offer the skills, knowledge and experience we require. Critically, your experience should include exposure to operating in complex and matrix reporting structure.

If you are looking for your next HR challenge in a unique and varied role, would like to be part of passionate and committed HR team and feel you would be a great fit for HRP, then we would love to hear from you.
