Morgan Law are proud to be working with the National Theatre, a world renowned organisation in London with a high cultural impact, to recruit their Head of IT Planning to ensure that they have the right Business Applications to deliver on their projects and are using them effectively and has a good sense of the future road maps for each application. The aim is to simplify the applications landscape.

Our client has created this new position to combine high-level business analysis, business relationship management, project planning, information architecture and delivery into one role.

Duties and Responsibilities

▪ Develop and manage three IT Steering Groups, working with senior stakeholders:
o to direct our Information Strategy
o to develop gap analysis, solutions and business cases
o To develop the road maps for business applications
o To review project progress

▪ Develop and design projects and changes to deliver the road maps
▪ Manage the project delivery including recruiting temporary PMs for major projects
▪ Monitor all projects, including reports and metrics for the Steering Groups
▪ Provide a customer-focused relationship management service

Person Specification

Essential
▪ Previous experience of managing a small team of IT staff including project managers and business analysts at a senior level
▪ Significant experience as a project manager delivering business applications in organisations with over 200 staff
▪ Significant experience of designing and delivering IT projects with budgets over £300k
▪ Experience of developing and administering IT steering groups or other IT or information governance mechanisms
▪ Business relationship management experience
▪ Demonstrable ability to present complex information to a group containing both IT and non-IT people
▪ Experience of analysing and documenting high level business requirements
▪ Broad experience of the IT market place
▪ Strong negotiation and influencing skills
▪ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
