Chief Corporate Affairs Officer
A Chief Corporate Affairs Officer is required for 6 months for an NHS Trust in the South East. The role requires previous experience in a NHS setting in a similar role at VSM level. Candidates who do not have the required NHS board level experience cannot be considered for this particular opportunity.
Salary: NHS VSM Payscale – negotiable dependant on experience
Location: On site in the South East, degree of hybrid working
Duration: 6 months
Role overview
- Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, this role holds senior leadership with overarching responsibility for the effective and proactive management of the Trust’s corporate governance function.
- Serve as the Trust’s corporate governance lead, acting as a senior advisor to the Chief Executive and Board members on matters relating to corporate governance, statutory obligations, and regulatory compliance.
- The role provides strategic leadership across the integrated governance agenda and is accountable for all aspects of corporate governance, including oversight of Trust Board activities.
- The post holder will contribute to the delivery of the Trust’s strategic priorities and objectives, as delegated by the Chief Executive.
- Close collaboration with Executive colleagues and senior management teams across the Trust is essential to support the achievement of organisational goals, with a strong focus on quality assurance and continuous improvement.
- The post holder will play a key leadership role in risk management and governance for a large acute hospital Trust
- The role will require flexibility in terms of portfolio providing executive leadership of high profile programmes of work on behalf of the Chief Executive
