Our client is a charity and research organisation seeking an Interim Finance Business Partner to join their finance team on a 6 month fixed-term contract.
Based in London with three days a week in the office, this role offers up to £50,000 and is an excellent opportunity to make a direct impact on a mission-driven organisation.
You’ll work closely with non-finance stakeholders across the organisation, translating complex financial information into clear, actionable insights that help them make better decisions.
Responsibilities
- Project costing and financial analysis that directly supports the charity’s research and delivery teams
- Bridge the gap between finance and operations, making financial data accessible and meaningful to non-specialists
- Supporting annual budget-setting, multi-year forecasting, and financial modeling for research projects and departmental units
- Delivering accurate, timely monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and KPI tracking
Preferred Requirements
- Experience in project costing, budgeting, or financial analysis
- Proven ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to non-finance audiences
- Organised, detail-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple stakeholder relationships
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) or equivalent finance qualification
- Previous experience in a business partner or similar advisory finance role
- Knowledge of charity accounting standards or experience in the research sector
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems and data
